National assessments in grades 2, 4 and 6 will be changed, announced on Tuesday the Minister of Education, Daniel David, at the conference "Human Capital: Education - the stringency of the economy - What the education system delivers from school to university - preparation, adequacy to the economy, solutions to the problem of the moment", organized by the Governance Course.
Daniel David specified that a ministerial order will be issued this week or next week, which will change the evaluations in order to expand the competencies that will be verified.
According to the minister, the assessments will also include items such as those from the PISA tests.
"A change that we are aiming for, I hope I can approve it these days, is related to the tests we do in grades 2 and 4. (...) They should measure more competencies. (...) Also, in these tests I would like to see, in addition to classic items related to the programs, items in the PISA logic. That is, the use of the contents in everyday life. (...) These are contributions that we have had in these nine months in these tests in grades 2, 4 and 6 will be in the same logic. (...) It is an element of self-knowledge for the child and these results must then return to school, to learn how the school stands in relation to other schools, to teach the teacher, the teacher, in the gymnasium - the headmistress how the children stand in relation to children from other schools. (...) We train (children) use the content in everyday life and in the 9th grade we test them and the children will already know what PISA items mean, I assume this," he explained
