European Parliament Conference of Presidents, Romanian gov't, to meet at Victoria Palace

The meeting of the European Parliament Conference of Presidents with the Romanian gov't in the perspective of Romania's taking over the presidency of the Council of the European Union is scheduled for Wednesday, at the Victoria Palace, according to the Romanian Executive.

The event will be attended by Prime minister Viorica Dancila, the members of the Romanian gov't, European Parliament President Antonio Tajani, EP Secretary General Klaus Welle and the leaders of the nine political groups with the EP.

In the opening of the gov't sitting of 15 November, Premier Dancila reiterated that Romania is ready to take over successfully the presidency of the Council of the European Union, specifying that the action programme is finalised. At the same time, Dancila said that she was to welcome EP president Antonio Tajani, the leaders of the EP political groups and other EU high-ranked officials.

"We will talk about topics of interest for the future of the European Union and the good management of certain important files, and I am referring to the Multiannual Financial Framework, Brexit, the post-Brexit EU future, the security policy's evolution," Dancila further asserted.
