Established on December 3, 1901, under royal patronage, the Tinerimea Romana/ Romanian Youth society tried to separate itself from the academizing form of art, promoting the reality, the beauty of the Romanian landscape and the characters that populate it.
"Artists used different manners, techniques and representations: landscapes, flowers, still life, compositions, interior scenes, genre scenes, marines, portraits. Characterized by eclecticism, the artistic movement was necessary in the dynamics of Romanian art, the critics hailing, in their discourse, its variety," the press release reads.
The exhibition Tinerimea Artistica in the MNC collection can be visited between August 14 and September 22, as part of the full tour of the museum or as part of the exhibition tour, from Tuesday to Sunday, between 9.00 and 17.00, only based on a prior appointment, at the e-mail address [email protected] or at the telephone numbers 021.317.31.07 / 0725.518.381.
