Acting President Ilie Bolojan signed on Monday the decree for the decoration of Reuven Azar, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Romania between 2022 - 2024, the Presidential Administration informs.

According to the cited source, the distinction was awarded as a sign of "high appreciation for the major contribution in supporting and developing political, economic and cultural relations between Romania and the State of Israel, for the decisive role in promoting and fostering international recognition for the Jewish culture and traditions in Romania, as well as for promoting Romania worldwide."
