Government approves decision to hold partial local elections on 7 december

The Government adopted on Thursday the decision to organise partial local elections for the mayor general of Bucharest and the president of the Buzau County Council.

The partial local elections will take place on Sunday, 7 December, with the electoral period beginning on 2 November, Government Spokesperson Ioana Dogioiu told a press conference at the Victoria Palace.

Partial elections will also be held for the mayors of the following localities: Retea commune (Bihor county), Mihai Eminescu commune (Botosani county), Marga commune (Caras-Severin county), Dobromir and Lumina communes (Constanta county), Gaesti town (Dambovita county), Sopot commune (Dolj county), Valea Ciorii commune (Ialomita county), Vanatori commune (Iasi county), Poienile de sub Munte and Sieu communes (Maramures county), and Carta commune (Sibiu county).
