The government on Friday approved national healthcare programmes, 13 of which, with major impact on public health, will be financed and coordinated by the Ministry of Health, and another 15, curative, by the National Health Insurance House under the Uniform National Healthcare Insurance Fund (FNUASS).
"The government has approved a decision on the national health programmes. It is a piece of legislation that allows us to carry out 13 national public health programmes financed from the budget of the Ministry of Health, and 15 curative health programmess financed from FNUASS," top healthcare official with the Ministry of Health Adriana Pistol told a news conference at the Government House on Friday.
She said a new national chronic disease screening programme would be also implemented.
For the implementation of the national public health programmes this year, the approved budget is standing at 5,952,000,000 lei plus appropriations of 8,592,881,000 lei, Agerpres informs.
