Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca announced that the emergency ordinance on the Loan Agreement between the European Commission and Romania, under which our country will receive 14.94 billion euros, will be approved on Wednesday's government meeting.
"From the first days of government, we worked for the operationalization of the most important post-pandemic country project, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Today we will analyze and approve in Government, through OUG, the Loan Agreement between the European Commission and Romania, under which the country will receive 14.94 billion euros, out of the approximately 29 billion euros available through the Recovery and Resilience Facility, money that we will invest in the economy, in extremely advantageous conditions," said the prime minister at the beginning of the government meeting.
According to him, after the entry into force of the loan agreement, the European Commission will make available the 13-percent pre-financing, representing approximately 1.94 billion euros.
"Today's emergency ordinance completes the institutional framework for implementing the NRRP and the setting up of the financial flows for monitoring, verifying and controlling the use of allocated funds. Following the entry into force of the loan agreement, which we will approve today through OUG, the European Commission will make available the 13-percent pre-financing of this loan," the premier said.
