Bucharest and other 14 counties will be under code orange of heavy snowfall on Thursday night, while 16 counties will be under the code yellow of abundant snowfall starting Thursday afternoon, according to warnings issued Wednesday by the National Weather Administration (ANM).
According to meteorologists, in the southern part of Banat and Oltenia, most of Muntenia and Dobrogea, snow will be abundant and the wind will blow at 50-60 km/h and temporarily 65-70 km/h, blowing and piling up the snow while bringing visibility low.
On the other hand, between Thursday, March 22, 15:00 and Friday, March 23, 20:00, the counties of Timis, Hunedoara, Alba, Sibiu, Valcea, Brasov, Covasna, Arges (partially), Dambovita (partially), Prahova Buzau (partially), Bacau, Vrancea, Vaslui, Galati and Constanta will be under a code yellow of abundant snow, wind gusts and freezing weather.
In Banat, Oltenia, Muntenia, Dobrogea, the southern half of Moldavia, as well as Southern Carpathians and Curvature Carpathians snow will come from the southwest, intensifying and dumping a thick layer of fresh snow, while the wind will temporarily pick up speed to 45-55 km / h, which gives periods of blowing and drifting snow.
In southern and eastern Dobrogea, there will be mixed precipitation and ice glaze.
The weather will be particularly cold until the end of the week, especially in the southeast half, where temporary wind gusts will amplify the feeling of cold.
