Twenty Ukrainian hockey players, aged between 6 and 15, will practise on the ice of the Olympic Skating Rink in Brasov, local club Corona announced on its official website.

A group of 33 children from Kharkiv, Kyiv, and other Ukrainian cities have recently arrived in Brasov, taking refuge from the war. Among them there are 20 hockey players, accompanied by two Ukrainian coaches, who have already entered the ice rink and will continue, in the coming weeks, to train in Brasov, in order to maintain their athletic shape and continue on the road to performance, Agerpres.ro informs.

"I am glad that we managed to get involved, together with the Brasov City Hall, and to offer a helping hand to the young sportsmen. The opportunity to continue practising in Brasov and not to miss such sessions is very important in the ascending course of the performance," said the director of the Corona club, Radu Miclaus.

The transport of the children from the border was provided free of charge by Radial Trans, the initiator of the humanitarian action being Evgheni Pisarenko, former player of Corona Brasov and, later, coach of the junior groups of the club.
