The Immigration Inspectorate General (IGI) announced on Friday that it is going to conduct a national information campaign on the conditions in which foreigners can legally work in Romania, as well as their and the employers' rights and obligations.

According to an IGI release sent to AGERPRES, in the period March 31 - April 4, the Immigration Inspectorate General, in partnership with the territorial labour inspectorates, will conduct a national information campaign addressed to employers who have foreign employees and foreigners who want to work in Romania.

"This initiative is aimed at providing essential information on the conditions in which foreigners can legally work in Romania, as well as about their rights and obligations and those of their employers. Activities will take place on a national level, and specialists from the Immigration Inspectorate General and the territorial labour inspectorates will be attending meetings to answer questions and clarify any doubts," the release reads.

IGI plans to support both employers and foreigners with this campaign, providing all necessary information for a safe and fair labour environment
