Indian ambassador in Bucharest, Manoj Kumar Mohapatra, launched on Tuesday an invitation to representatives of the Brasov municipality and Chamber of Commerce and Industry to identify companies based in Brasov County to participate at the beginning of next month, in the Romania - India Joint Economic Commission, which will convene in Bucharest.
The Indian diplomat, who is on his first visit to Brasov after taking office, met on Tuesday with representatives of the local administration and with the leadership of the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and will participate on Wednesday in a presentation mounted by several Indian companies in Brasov, the Brasov City Hall said in a release.
According to the ambassador, over 20 companies with Indian capital operate in Brasov and approximately 1,000 Indian citizens live and work there.
