President Klaus Iohannis on Tuesday posted on his Facebook page the picture of a dog of the Protection and Guard Service (SPP) and a message reading that October 4, the World Animal Day, is a good opportunity for us to show our appreciation to "these loyal friends."
"On the World Animal Day, I give you Spike, a Belgian shepherd dog, a seven-year veteran of the SPP team. His part in the missions is very important, namely searching for and detecting explosives. This is a good opportunity for us to show our appreciation to these loyal friends,"reads the message
World Animal Day is celebrated each year on October 4.
