Four Israeli students enrolled with the Ovidius University of Constanta have been placed under pre-trial detention for the false imprisonment under duress of a young man of Ploiesti.
The Constanta County Police Inspectorate says in a press statement released on Friday that four Ovidius University students - Nassar Ali, Nassar Muhammad, Nassar Mustafa and Yassin Tareg - all Israeli nationals aged between 19 and 24 years had been implicated in a trade in automobiles with David Serban of Ploiesti 23. Unhappy with the quality of the car they got, the four decided to cancel the trade by false imprisonment under duress.
The statement says the Ploiesti young man arrived in Constanta on November 2 to trade an Audi break registered in Bulgaria for an Alfa Romeo, but shortly after the transaction, the Israeli students changed their mind by claiming defective operation of the car they got. They caught up with the young man, whom they carried to an isolated place on the shores of a lake, where they set a Cane Corso dog on him to make him cancel the deal.
After being released, the Ploiesti young man filed a criminal complaint with the Police, and the four Israeli students were identified in the city and remanded for an investigation. They were then placed under a 30-day pre-trial detention.
