Justice Minister Tudorel Toader said on Friday that the bill amending justice legislation is not adopted by the government, because that would mean that the government makes laws.
"The bill is not adopted by the government under a piece of legislation producing legal effects determined by the government, because that would mean the Government would have made laws. The government takes responsibility for the bill and sends it to Parliament. I guess it would be right for you to ask the prime minister whether or not he would have taken responsibility for the bill. I have certainly spoken with him, he knew the main elements of the bill, and knew the need for an opinion from the Venice Commission," Toader said at the Ministry of Justice, asked by journalists whether or not Prime Minister Mihai Tudose could have pledged responsibility for the government's bill.
