Romania firmly condemns the rocket attacks that took place on Saturday morning against Israel, says President Klaus Iohannis.
"Romania strongly condemns this morning rocket attacks against Israel. We stand in full solidarity with Israel in these terrible moments. Our thoughts are with the families of victims and with those who are under fire," he wrote in a social media post on Saturday.
The Israeli army declared a state of war following Saturday's massive attacks on Israel from the Palestinian Gaza Strip, according to a press statement quoted by the Israeli TPS news agency.
Dozens of rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel on Saturday morning, ending a largely respected truce since the end of the five-day war in May.
