Croatia backs the activation of the Schengen regime and the cancellation of the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism (CVM) for Romania and Bulgaria, on Monday said the visiting Croatian President, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic. "Croatia strongly supports the activation of the Schengen regime for Romania and Bulgaria. (...) Croatia is for the elimination of the CVM for Romania and Bulgaria. (...) Romania has met its reforms' level," the President of Croatia said at the joint news conference with her Romanian counterpart, Klaus Iohannis.
The Croatian president is paying a state visit in Romania Monday through Wednesday.
