Young people from care institutions might qualify, starting next year, for an integrated project that provides for subsidised two-year rent, Minister of Labour, Family Affairs, Social Security and the Elderly told a conference on Monday on preventing and protecting children against sexual exploitation from tourist activities. "Generally speaking, when you live a communal life with many other people, your individuality decreases, and we are talking here about making young people responsible for their own actions. We are talking about transition toward an independent life, where you can live on your own," said Pislaru.
He added that work has been done on the project for months now, jointly with the Ministry of European Funds, which will provide full funding under a Human Capital Programme. Pislaru said the project is designed for young people coming out of institutions.
