The National Institute of Public Health (INSP) informs that, in the week of December 5 - 11, 50.1% of the cases of COVID-19 were registered in Bucharest and in the counties of Cluj, Timis, Bihor and Brasov.
According to the Weekly Surveillance Report, 39.4% of the confirmed cases were recorded in people not vaccinated against COVID.
Of those vaccinated who became ill, 44% were either immediately after vaccination or more than six months after the last dose.
INSP specifies that 63.2% of the total deaths were registered in Bucharest and in the counties of Calarasi, Dolj, Arad and Botosani.
According to the cited source, 85% of the recorded deaths were among unvaccinated people.
From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic until now, according to INSP, 86.5% of all deaths were in people over 60 years old, and 54.7% - in men.
The report shows that 93.7% of those who died had at least one associated comorbidity.AGERPRES
