Luca Preda, two wins in junior events at Roland Garros

Romanian tennis player Luca Preda (18 years old) won in the singles and doubles events on Monday in the junior tournament at Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam of the year.

Preda defeated Argentine's Maximo Zeitune in the first round of singles, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3, after two hours and 17 minutes.

In the second round, Preda will face French player Moise Kouame.

In the junior doubles, Preda and Frenchman Thomas Faurel, the number three seeds, qualified for the round of 16 after a 7-6 (7/1), 6-4 win over Miguel Tobon (Colombia)/Maximo Zeitune (Argentina) in one hour and 12 minutes. Their opponents in the second round will be Tomasz Berkieta (Poland) and Charlie Robertson (UK).
