The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) has intensively promoted economic relations with Japan, and Romania can represent a business opportunity for Japanese companies, considering the performances achieved by Romanian entrepreneurs in IT&C, green energy and innovative technologies, says Mihai Daraban, CCIR chairman, informs Agerpres.
According to a press release from the CCIR sent to AGERPRES on Friday, Mihai Daraban had an official meeting with the Japanese ambassador to Romania, Katae Takashi, on Thursday.
"However, we must have a strong strategy to promote exports to Japan, in the previously mentioned fields, because this country offers markets for quality products. Romania must consolidate its presence in this part of the world. At the CCIR level, we continue to have an active role in facilitating business meetings and economic missions between Romanian and Japanese entrepreneurs," stated the chairman of CCIR, Mihai Daraban, in the quoted press release.
In turn part, the Japanese ambassador emphasized the importance and potential of economic collaborations between the two countries. He highlighted Japan's interest in expanding partnerships in sectors such as technology, energy and infrastructure.
Also, Katae Takashi mentioned that Japan sees Romania as a strategic partner in the Eastern Europe region and encouraged Japanese investors to explore business and investment opportunities in our country, at the same time stressing the importance of constant dialogue to maximize mutual economic benefits.
