The minister of investments and European projects, Adrian Caciu, on Sunday, upon leaving the polling station, said that he voted for Romania to have a strong team in the European Parliament, which would always be at the decision-making table, and which would smooth out country's way towards Schengen accession.
"We voted today for the continuation of Romania's path in Europe, for a strong team in the European Parliament, a team that will bring us successful negotiations, and measures, and money, and European funds to further develop Romania, a team that will be always at the decision-making table. A team that will make and smooth our way towards the accession to the Schengen Area, which we expect to happen at the end of this year, and, last but not least, for the accession to the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development)," said Caciu.
Regarding the local elections, Adrian Caciu, who voted in Craiova, emphasised that there is a need for good people, who have demonstrated what performance means.
"We don't have time to experiment. We only need performance, work and development. Good luck to everyone. We are waiting for everyone to vote," pointed out the minister of European investments and projects.
