The Ministry of Finance attracted, on Tuesday, 68.1 million lei from banks, in addition to Monday's auctions, when it borrowed 1.62 billion RON, at interest rates of 7.16% per year and 7.32% per year, respectively, through two benchmark government bond issues.
The nominal value of the two additional issues was 45 million RON and 60 million RON, respectively. The banks submitted offers worth 43.1 million RON and 25 million RON, respectively.
The Ministry of Finance planned, in July 2025, loans from commercial banks worth 5.8 billion RON, to which an amount of 795 million RON can be added through additional sessions of non-competitive offers, related to bond auctions.
The total amount, of 6.595 billion RON, is 790 million RON higher than that scheduled in June of this year, of 5.805 billion RON, and will be intended for refinancing public debt and financing the state budget deficit.
