The net investments in the national economy totaled over 50.09 billion lei in the first nine months of this year, up by 3.6% compared to the similar period of 2016, shows a press release issued by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) on Friday for AGERPRES.
An increase of 6.6% was recorded for equipment (including means of transport) and 1.4% for new construction works. The investments in other expenditures decreased by 1.6%.
"By activities of the national economy between January 1 and September 30, 2017, compared to January 1 - September 30, 2016, there is an increase in the share of net investments in construction by 6.2 percentage points. More than a third (35.2%) of the net investments went to industry, on the increase by 2 percentage points compared to January - September 2016," the INS informs.
In the third quarter of 2017, compared to the third quarter of 2016, the net investments in the national economy rose by 10.3%, an advance by 22.8% in all structural elements, namely equipment (including transport means), other expenditures by 11.7% and in new construction works by 0.1%.
