A number of 10,140 electric vehicles were registered in Romania this year, and Dacia Spring model remains Romanians' favorite, according to an analysis carried out by one of the most important players in the area of electric mobility at the local level, told Agerpres.

According to the Lektri.Co Index, Romania's electric vehicles fleet exceeded 23,000 units, with 915 such vehicles registered in November, of which 12 were LCV commercial vehicles.

With the 459 units registered in November alone (50pct of the total), Dacia Spring continues to be at the top of Romanians' preferences. Second, in the same month, is VW E-Up - with 59 registrations, followed by Renault Megane E-Tech (31). Moreover, the high-end segment (where Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche models are taken into account) recorded 77 new registrations.

According to the relevant analysis, in the general ranking of the electric vehicle fleet, Dacia Spring maintains its position with about 35pct of the total (8,092 units), and Renault Zoe ranks 2nd - with 9.2pct (2,123 units). The top of the ranking is completed by VW E-Up - with a percentage of 5.5pct (1,265 units).

"In relation to the charging infrastructure, if we only take into account the public chargers, without restrictions, the most used are the AC Type 2 and the CCS/CHAdeMO fast-charger," the quoted source showed.

The existing data on the Plugshare portal show that, last month, the 3,000th charging point was installed in Romania.

Currently, at the national level, there are approximately 3,040 public chargers, while the number of public charging spaces has reached 1,378.

Lektri.Co was founded in 2018 in Timisoara and currently has 20 employees.
