Over 125k persons, including about 14k Ukrainians, enter Romania on Tuesday
The General Inspectorate of the Border Police (IGPR) informs that 125,010 people entered Romania through the border crossing points on Tuesday, including 13,698 Ukrainian citizens, told Agerpres.
According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday, about 307,000 people, Romanian and foreign citizens, with about 78,900 means of transport, have gone through the control formalities at the border points throughout the country, both on the entry and on the exit ways.
As of February 10, 2022 (pre-conflict period), 5,829,501 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania.
In the areas of jurisdiction, crossing points and the "green border," the police found 60 illegal acts (26 offences and 34 contraventions) committed by both Romanian and foreign citizens, and the amount of fines imposed amounted to 14,900 lei.
Goods worth approximately 350,000 lei were seized for confiscation.
On Tuesday, 23 foreign citizens were not allowed to enter the country because they did not meet the conditions provided for by law and 22 Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave the country for various legal reasons.
