More than 18 tonnes of plastic waste transported by a Romanian driver, on the Greece-Romania route, were stopped in the southern Giurgiu border crossing point (PTF) because the goods were not accompanied by the appropriate documents for cross-border transfer, informs the Giurgiu Border Police.

Also, a shipment of about 10 tonnes of waste from the Netherlands was prevented from entering the country at the western Nadlac II Border Crossing Point, the Territorial Inspectorate of Border Police of Oradea said on Monday.

According to the sources, the drivers could not present the necessary documents for the import, according to the legal provisions in force, so the control authorities did not allow the means of transport and the transported goods to enter Romania.
