"We are waiting to see what steps will follow, because Sabrina was clearly wronged and we have to do something for things to return to normal. Sabrina was a medalist, and that tenth (which was not scored in the floor exercise, ed. n.) puts her in the third place. Whoever made this mistake, not to say that he was forced to do it, must bear the consequences. Because we do not work in vain, there are evenings when I leave the gym at 9:30 p.m., and this child doesn't even have time to eat. Why should we get to the next Olympics and be cheated again? We must insist. We have to show them where they went wrong," said the former gymnast.
The former gymnast says that Romania cannot kick a medal.
"The answer in this situation can be both positive and negative. If it is negative, we will see what else we can do, because it would be a shame. You cannot kick an Olympic medal, there will not be seven more medals, but eight in Paris and it would matter a lot for Romania. It would also be very good for Sabrina's psyche, because she would enter the gym with a different motivation," she explained.
