The operational capacity of the Agency for Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Enterprises' Performance (AMEPIP) must be strengthened by the end of this summer through legislative amendments, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan said on Tuesday.
He stressed, in a press conference at the Victoria Palace, that the operationalization of AMEPIP is being considered not only because Romania has a commitment through the PNRR in this regard, but, above all, for the good management of state-owned companies.
"AMEPIP must be strengthened in such a way that at the end of the summer we have an operational agency, not only because we have a commitment through the PNRR, to comply with certain provisions, but especially because good management of companies in Romania is a necessity, as each leu earned is a plus for the national budget, for investments or for development projects in the coming years", Ilie Bolojan transmitted.
