PM Ciuca, counterpart Krivokapic, about need of support for Montenegro European path

Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca had a meeting on Monday, in Sofia, with the Prime Minister of the Government of Montenegro, Zdravko Krivokapic, with whom he discussed about the support for the European path of this country, as well as about strengthening bilateral relations in the economic and agricultural sectors and the project for connecting these two countries through air transport.

"During the bilateral meeting that I had with the PM of the Government of Montenegro we also discussed about the need for support regarding Montenegro's path for becoming a member country of the European Union, we pointed out the need of strengthening economic bilateral relations. Furthermore, there is a project that is about to be applied very soon, and it is about connecting Romania and Montenegro through air transport, especially between the airports of Timisoara or Craiova and Tivat, in Montenegro. Furthermore, there were talks about aspects that concern the interest in the economic and agricultural sectors, the Montenegrin PM requesting that in the next period a delegation formed of the two ministers of Economy and Agriculture can arrive in Bucharest and discuss technical details about the way in which we can strengthen relations in the two sectors," Ciuca declared.

He also mentioned that talks were about aspects that concern the Montenegro's participation in NATO's battle group that is about to be established in Romania, Agerpres.ro informs.

"At this moment, Montenegro already has a participation in the South-East Multinational Corps," Nicolae Ciuca added.

PM Ciuca took part on Monday in Sofia in the sitting of Heads of Government of NATO members in South-Eastern Europe and had bilateral meetings with the Prime Ministers of the governments of the Republic of Bulgaria, Kiril Petkov, Republic of Montenegro, Zdravko Krivokapic, and the Republic of Noth Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski.
