Prime Minister Viorica Dancila on Monday sent a message on the beginning of the month of Ramadan fasting, in which she wished all Muslims in Romania "joy and to stay in good health," while underscoring they are "a community that is fully integrated with our society, actively contributing to the common good and the development of religious pluralism."
"In the beginning of the month of Ramadan fasting I want to wish all Muslims in our country joy and to stay in good health. Ramadan is a time for strengthening the existing connection between the family members, a moment of solidarity at community level, of dialogue and generosity showed to the ones in need, and also a time for rediscovering one's own faith fundamentals, for rediscovering identities and communities. I believe that, in a society as the one we live in today, marked by all sorts of challenges, knowledge is the best instrument for restoring faith and social balance. Romania will remain a country in which every citizen will be free to keep his/her faith, and respect and good understanding will unite us for the common good. Muslims are a community that is fully integrated with our society, actively contributing to the common good and the development of religious pluralism. Be it so that this Ramadan only brings joy, peace and prosperity to everyone!," said Dancila in her message sent by the Government.
