The Government will approve by decision the setting up of the National Company the UNIREA Agro-Food House of Commerce, as a functional commercial mechanism that will contribute to a better capitalisation of the resources and national agricultural production, PM Viorica Dancila announced on Thursday, in the opening of the solemn meeting of the Executive, which takes place in Alba Iulia.
"Through the governing programme we undertook to set up of the UNIREA Agro Food House of Commerce, which is named like this in order to mark the 100 years of agriculture and Romanian high quality products. We are adopting today a normative act by which we set up this functional commercial mechanism that will contribute to a better capitalisation on the resources and national agricultural production, and to support farmers and the Romanian farms on the domestic and foreign markets," stated Viorica Dancila.
The PM also added that the Government will continue "to adopt measures meant to stimulate the domestic economic environment and the development of some market instruments to integrate business offers in agriculture."
"We are taking into account the increase of added value and the capitalisation on this important economic sector at the same time with the promotion and capitalisation on the local products on the foreign markets. The agricultural policies and of rural development implemented by the Romanian Government have provided incentives for the agricultural sector to continue to be an economic growth engine. Moreover, we aim to create jobs for the people in the rural environment, once with the guaranteeing of the incomes of farmer, in order to avoid migration to the urban environment," said Dancila.
