President Bolojan meets OMV Petrom management to discuss Neptun Deep and future investment projects

Acting president Ilie Bolojan met on Monday, at the Cotroceni Palace, with a delegation from OMV Petrom, with whom he discussed the stage of implementation of the Neptun Deep project and the company's future investments.

"OMV Petrom representatives presented the evolution of this project and emphasized the good collaboration with the partner Romgaz, noting that its implementation is proceeding according to plan, respecting both the initial calendar and the allocated budget. As to future investment projects, given the close economic partnership with Romania, OMV Petrom intends to continue investments, especially in the field of renewable energy, wishing to become the most important renewable fuel producer in Southeastern Europe", the Presidential Administration informs in a release sent to AGERPRES.

According to the cited source, interim president Ilie Bolojan welcomed the company's new initiatives and stressed the importance of investments, both from foreign and Romanian capital, in the current economic context.

OMV Petrom's management raised the company's concerns regarding the need for a stable and predictable fiscal and regulatory framework, the cited source said.

President Ilie Bolojan explained the complexity of the country's economic situation, marked by large deficits, and stressed that some legislative measures are necessary to support the population in difficulty in paying energy bills, the Presidential Administration reported.

The delegation was formed by members of the executive management of OMV Aktiengesellschaft Austria, the main shareholder, and representatives of OMV Petrom's management.
