President Iohannis: Adjournment of CSAT meeting, by mutual agreement

This week's sitting of Romania's Supreme Council for National Defence (CSAT) was adjourned by mutual agreement, President Klaus Iohannis declared on Thursday, in Brussels

"We mutually agreed on the adjournment. So, it was not a hostile adjournment, but we agreed on resuming discussions at a later date," the head of state explained, before taking part in the European Council meeting.

The Presidential Administration informed on Tuesday that the sitting of the Supreme Council for National Defence was adjourned by President Kalsu Iohannis upon the request of the Council's members, given that the agenda included important topics on the country's defence and national security, which has led to prolonged discussions. Consequently, the president of Romania has decided to resume Romania's Supreme Council for National Defence (CSAT) sitting on 19 December, the quoted source specified.
