President Klaus Iohannis said on Wednesday that he will invite the parties to consultations at the Cotroceni Palace when there is clarity on the person to be proposed as prime minister.
"There are ongoing negotiations between the parties. Certain things have been declared. It seems that they are working to form a pro-European coalition, but as the consultations are essentially - the ones I convene at Cotroceni - a rather formal phase, I do not want to invite the parties just to meet, but I want to invite the parties when there is clarity in the negotiations, at least regarding a person to be proposed for the position of prime minister. Once we realize that stage has been reached, I will convene consultations. It would be good if things moved quickly, but that depends on how the parties negotiate," said the head of state.
