1 December represents our ideal as a nation, to be free and united in a wealthy Romania, headed by responsible, upright politicians, on Friday stated president Klaus Iohannis, adding that now on Centenary's Eve, it is the high time to reflect on how we wish our country look like.
"Dear Romanians, today is our National Day, a day when all of us, wherever we are, celebrate our homeland. In 1918, the Romanians have lived the emotion of then reunion. The 1st of December represents our ideal as a nation to be free and united in a prosperous Romania, headed by responsible and upright politicians. Now, on the Eve of the Centenary, it is a good occasion to reflect on how we wish our country look like. Only together, involved and determined, could we succeed to build a strong, respected Romania throughout Europe and throughout the world. Many happy returns of the day, Romanians! Happy Birthday, Romania!" president Klaus Iohannis says in a video message on his Facebook page on the occasion of the National Day.
