AGERPRES special correspondent Madalina Cerban reports: President Klaus Iohannis said on Thursday in Brussels that there was no discussion between him and German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the Embassy of Romania to Israel.
Asked upon his arrival at the European Council meeting in Brussels whether he will have a meeting with Angela Merkel, given that there was information about alleged interventions of the German Chancellor for the Embassy of Romania to Israel not to be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Klaus Iohannis said: "Yes, I intend to have a meeting with Chancellor Merkel, but this issue of the Embassy has never been discussed by us and I do not think we are going to discuss it. It is not a topic that concerns us bilaterally."
The head of state said he did not know where this information came from.
"I can tell you very clearly: there was no discussion between us on this topic," Iohannis said.
