The President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Francesco Rocca, will make an official visit to Romania and Ukraine.
According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Friday, the president of IFRC will analyse activities implemented in the field as a response to the humanitarian emergency caused by the conflict in Ukraine.
On Saturday, Francesco Rocca will be in northeastern Suceava and will visit the tent of the Romanian Red Cross at the border. He will travel to Ukraine on Sunday to visit the headquarters of the Ukrainian Red Cross in Vinnytsia, and on Monday he will be at the Red Cross logistics center in Chernivtsi/Cernauti, Agerpres.ro informs.
On Tuesday, March 22, president Francesco Rocca and the Director General of the Romanian Red Cross, Ioan Silviu Lefter, will meet with PM Nicolae Ciuca.
Furthermore, Rocca and Lefter have scheduled a meeting with the Crown Custodian, Margareta, the president of the Romanian Red Cross, at Elisabeta Palace in Bucharest.
