The Social Democratic Party (PSD) won the elections, and the score from the Capital's City Hall represents a lesson in democracy, declared, on Sunday, the leader of the social democrats, Marcel Ciolacu.
"Democracy has triumphed. I thank the Romanians for voting today, in the heat, and giving legitimacy to the elected candidates. The Social Democratic Party won the elections, everything we achieved today represents the trust that the Romanians gave us. (...) The measures taken by PSD in governing were appreciated by Romanians," said Ciolacu, at PSD headquarters.
He added that the score from the Capital City Hall is "a lesson in democracy" that he respects.
"I thank Gabriela Firea for running a very good campaign and doing everything she could for the PSD to have a good score in Bucharest," said the social-democratic leader.
