Romanian tennis player Raluca Georgiana Serban won the 25,000-dollar ITF tournament in Santa Margherita (Italy) on Sunday, by defeating Italian Anastasia Grymalska, in two sets, 7-6 (2), 6-4.
The Romanian had to play no less than three matches on Sunday, as she previously defeated Briton Francesca Jones (18 years old, WTA #475) 6-2, 6-3. In her last match, Serban lost to the doubles' semifinals, alongside Hungarian Anna Bondar.
Serban had played two matches on Saturday, when she defeated the young Canadian player Carson Branstine (18 years old, WTA #1,011) 3-6, 7-6 (1), 7-6 (3) and won doubles' quarterfinals.
