The Romanian national team defeated the Kazakhstan team with a score of 12-10 (3-5, 5-1, 3-1, 1-3), on Thursday, in their last match in Group H of the World Aquatics Men's U16 Water Polo Championships 2024 in Malta.
The tricolors won their second victory, after 12-11 against Malta, and finished the group in second place.
Despite a hesitant start and finish, the team coached by Antonio Alexandrescu prevailed without much emotion.
The tricolors' goals were scored by Denis Feke (3), Marc Angelescu (3), Andrei Rotaru (2), Roland Orsos (2), Alexander Paladiciuc-Rusu (1), Adrian Pop-Cotuna (1).
Before the match between Greece and Malta, Greece is in first place in the group, with 6 points, followed by Romania - 6 points, Malta - 3 points, Kazakhstan - 0 points
