Romania's Defence Minister Mihai Fifor is attending a meeting of NATO defence ministers Wednesday and Thursday, a meeting that provides an opportunity to assess the NATO summit of July 2018 and demonstrate NATO member states'commitment to implementing the decisions made at the summit, informs the Ministry of National Defense (MApN).
The ministerial meeting on Thursday will be mainly devoted to assessing the state of implementation of NATO's deterrence and defence posture.
The ministers will also discuss military mobility, countering hybrid and cyber threats with officials from the European Union, Finland and Sweden.
The meeting will end with a session of the Nuclear Planning Group (NPG).
On the side-lines of the meeting, Fifor is scheduled to meet his counterparts from Canada, the UK, Italy, Spain and Turkey, as well Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) Curtis M. Scaparrotti.
