Romania finished the 15th edition of the international RoboChallenge competition with a remarkable tally of 25 medals - nine golds, and eight silver and bronze each, informs Agerpres.
"At the 15th international RoboChallenge competition held this weekend as part of the third robotic innovation event RoboFEST at the Bucharest National University of Science and Technology Politehnica, Romania recorded a remarkable feat, winning 25 medals. This performance placed it on top of the overall ranking of the competition, and reinforced its status as a leader in the field of robotics," the organizers said in a release on Tuesday.
The podium was completed by Mexico with 15 medals, and Turkey with four medals.
The event saw the participation of over 175 teams and 1,000 robots from 25 countries on five continents, in a real display of technological innovation, bringing together robotics enthusiasts and professionals from around the world.

Sava' National College, CIRA ROBOTICS - Bucharest, the Bucharest International Computer Science Theoretical High School, Electro Racers - Suceava, 'Stefan cel Mare' University of Suceava, STARWARS, BITS - Oradea, the University of Oradea, and the 'Onisifor Ghibu' National College, HBFS Robotics - Bucharest, UNSTPB - Faculty of Automation and Computers.
