Romanian Foreign Ministry opens itinerant consulate in Odessa until October 28

A first Romanian itinerant consulate in Odessa is open until October 28, within the Premier Hotel in the Ukrainian city, until the logistical and administrative aspects necessary for the full resumption of the consular office's activity are resolved, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) announced on Tuesday.

Until then, interested persons can benefit from consular services and consular assistance and protection.

At the same time, during the same period, the interim manager will have meetings with representatives of local and regional authorities, including in order to carry out the activities necessary for the reopening of the consular office, and with representatives of the Romanian community and the associative environment.

Depending on security developments, the activity of the Consulate General of Romania in Odessa will continue, monthly, in this format, until the effective operationalization of the consular office, in order to ensure consular assistance and protection.

The next itinerant consulate in Odessa is scheduled for the period 15-30 November.
