Writers Filip and Matei Florian will participate on Thursday, with an excerpt from the book "Baiuteii" at the "Night of European Literature", which will take place at the Liebling Haus Cultural Center in Tel Aviv.

"Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) Tel Aviv joins the initiative of EUNIC Israel cluster members to continue the 'European Literature Night' project, initiated in 2022, which brings to the attention of the Israeli public some of the most representative European writers, within a literary marathon which will take place on September 12, from 19:00, at the Liebling Haus Cultural Center, one of the most important cultural locations in Tel Aviv", informs ICR.

The theme for the current edition, curated by the artistic director of the Jerusalem International Literature Festival, Julia Fermento, is childhood in literature.

Along with ICR Tel Aviv, institutes and cultural centers such as the Goethe Institute, the Austrian Cultural Forum, the French Institute, the Cervantes Institute, the Polish Institute and the Czech Center in Tel Aviv also participate in this project.

Filip Florian (born on May 16, 1968) published numerous short prose in magazines, and his first novel, "Degete mici" (Polirom, 2005), was rewarded with the Debut Award of Literary Romania and the Excellence Award for Debut in Literature.

Matei Florian (born on January 8, 1979) debuted with poetry in the magazine "Cuvantul" in 1997.

Since 1998 he has been a reporter and, later, a columnist at "Dilema" ("Old Dilemma"), collaborating with reports, literary chronicles and short theater in various cultural publications and on the radio.

The novel "Baiuteii" represents the author's editorial debut.
