The bells of the cathedrals, monasteries and churches all over the country will toll in three distinctive moments within the religious services to be delivered on the occasion of King Mihai's burial, the Romanian Patriarchate announced on Tuesday.

A first moment will be on Wednesday at 11:00hrs when the arrival of the coffin at the Henri Coanda International Airport is scheduled, says the release sent to STIRIPESURSE.RO

The bells will afterwards toll twice on Saturday - firstly at 12:30hrs at the beginning of the burial ceremony at the Patriarchal Cathedral, and secondly at 18:30hrs at the commencement of the entombment religious service at the New Archbishopric and Royal Cathedral in Curtea de Arges.

"Since the space of the Bucharest Patriarchal Cathedral is scarce so to receive all of the guests, the Royal House has asked the Romanian Patriarchate that inside the Cathedral and in the areas in its very vicinity to be granted access only to the Royal Family and a narrow number of guests, during the funeral service, on Saturday, 16 December 2017, from 12:30hrs to 14:00hrs," the release sent by the Romanian Patriarchate Press Office reads.
