Romanian students win three medals in the International Geography Olympiad

Romanian students won three medals - one silver and two bronze - at the International Geography Olympiad that took place between July 25 and August 1 in Thailand, Bangkok, with 47 countries from all over the world as participants.

The Romanian team was formed by David Mihai Dumitrescu from the Carol I National College in Craiova, who won the silver medal, Maria Moldovan from the "Silvania" National College in Zalau - bronze medal, Iustin Balan from the "Garabet Ibraileanu" National College in Iasi - bronze medal and Cristina-Daria Toderici, from the "Adam Muller Guttennbrunn" Theoretical High School in Arad.

The coordinating teachers of the Romanian team are Mihaela Cornelia Fiscutean and Dorin Fiscutean from the Iasi National College.
