Romanian boxer Florin Ionita qualified, on Sunday, for the quarterfinals of the 2022 World Youth Boxing Championships in the Spanish town of La Nucia, after defeating Ukrainian Vladislav Palivoda by points (4-3), within the limits of 92-kg category, told Agerpres.
In the quarterfinals, Romania's Ionita, the European youth vice-champion, will face off Armenian Avetik Hovakimian.
Romania has lined up 14 boxers (6 men and 8 women) at the 2022 World Youth Boxing Championships in Spain (15-26 November).
