Round 139k persons enter Romania Monday, including over 15k Ukrainians
The General Inspectorate of the Border Police (IGPR) informs that 139,101 persons entered Romania on Monday through the border crossing points, including 15,313 Ukrainian citizens, told Agerpres.
According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday, about 357,500 people, Romanian and foreign citizens, with almost 89,000 means of transport, have passed through border checkpoints throughout the country, both on the entry and exit ways.
As of 10 February 2022 (pre-conflict period), 5,815,803 Ukrainian citizens have entered Romania.
In the areas of jurisdiction, crossing points and "green border," the police found 50 illegal acts (23 offences and 27 contraventions) committed by both Romanian and foreign citizens, and the amount of fines imposed amounted to 13,900 lei.
Goods worth approximately 12,000 lei were seized for confiscation.
On Monday, 17 foreign citizens were not allowed to enter the country because they did not meet the conditions provided by the law and 18 Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave the country for various legal reasons.
