Parliament on Wednesday is having a solemn sitting dedicated to the celebration of the Greater Union Centennial, with President Klaus Iohannis in attendance.
Iohannis rescheduled his official visit to France occasioned by the inauguration of the Romanian-France season, initially scheduled for November 27-28, in order to be able to participate in the solemn meeting of Parliament, according to a press release of the Presidential Administration.
The Joined Standing Bureaus of the Senate and the Deputies' Chamber decided last week to hold a solemn sitting together on November 28, starting at 2 pm, dedicated to the celebration of the Greater Union Centennial.
Secretary of the Deputies' Chamber Georgian Pop announced that President Klaus Iohannis, Prime Minister Viorica Dancila, members of the Government, Romanian Crown Custodian Margareta, Prince Radu are invited to attend the sitting.
Moreover, also invited were the former presidents of Romania, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, the Roman Catholic Church Archbishop of Bucharest, the Metropolitan of the Romanian Church United with Rome, Greek-Catholic, the presidents of the Constitutional Court, the High Court of Cassation and Justice, the Court of Accounts, the Romanian Academy, the Governor of the National Bank of Romania, the heads of the diplomatic missions accredited in Bucharest.
