A pyrotechnic team of the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) is about to scan the aircraft that made an emergency landing on Thursday on the Otopeni Airport, because of a bomb threat, informs the Service.
"SRI brought a pyrotechnic team, which will scan the luggage and aircraft. The airport management initiated thus the standard procedure in such situations," specified this institution.
The flight didn't have Romania as a destination, according to SRI, and made an emergency landing on the Otopeni airport. "The airport initiated the emergency procedure. The passengers were evacuated," shows SRI.
A Wizzair aircraft, which was flying between Kutaisi and Warsaw, made an emergency landing on the Otopeni Airport, after a bomb threat, the National Company Bucharest Airports (CNAB) informed on Thursday.
According to the representatives of the CNAB, the aircraft landed on Otopeni at 4.20 pm and parked on an isolated position. The 173 passengers were debarked at 4.25 pm.
"The specified procedures are under way. The passengers were disembarked and brought in the terminal's embarkation area. The specific procedure for such situations continues (procedure is classified)," specified the CNAB.
The bomb threat was telephonically announced at the Kutaisi airport, Georgia, by a woman.
